Job summary

Carhartt is seeking a Warehouse Trainer in Hanson, KY to train and certify new and transferring warehouse associates, conduct recertifications, and maintain training records. You will deliver trainer sessions, coach associates, and ensure safety and quality standards are met in a fast-paced distribution environment.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work onsite with powered equipment.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Associate degree in Business or related field preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in customer service, training, quality, warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environments.
• Experience operating powered industrial equipment is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
• Ability to train, coach, and provide constructive feedback; maintain training records.

Responsibilities

• Train new hires and transferring warehouse associates on powered industrial equipment (TRT, Forklift, Walkie Rider) and warehouse processes.
• Assess performance using training checklists and certify associates meeting requirements.
• Maintain training records and required trainer documentation.
• Identify training gaps and report to Distribution Network Operations Manager.
• Provide ongoing coaching, retraining, and development support to associates.
• Instruct on safety procedures, quality standards, and operational expectations.
• Serve as the first point of contact for new hires and explain policies and expectations.
• Manage training materials and inventory; ensure trainer certifications are kept current.
• Coordinate annual equipment recertifications and safety training with Safety Manager and Operations Leadership.
• Support continuous improvement through feedback on training effectiveness and processes.
