Job summary

Southend Pharmacy is seeking a Verification Pharmacist to join our on-site team in Houston, TX. The role ensures clinical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and quality verification of compounded medications prior to dispensing.

The ideal candidate has Pharm.D. or B.S. in Pharmacy, TX license, and at least four years of licensed pharmacist experience in a high-volume or compounding setting. Weekend shifts may be required, with competitive compensation and a quarterly bonus program.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited program.
• Active, unrestricted Texas Pharmacist License in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP).
• Minimum four (4) years of licensed pharmacist experience in retail, specialty, compounding, hospital, or high-volume setting.
• Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, verification, patient safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform final pharmacist verification of compounded prescriptions prior to dispensing.
• Verify prescription orders for clinical appropriateness, dosage accuracy, patient information, interactions, and labeling.
