Job summary

Southend Pharmacy is seeking a Sterile Compounding Pharmacist in Houston, TX. The role ensures safe and accurate sterile medication compounding and distribution, adhering to USP <797> and regulatory standards, in a patient-centered environment.

The position requires a Pharm.D., active TX Pharmacist license, sterile compounding certification, and at least one year of experience in sterile practice. Schedule is 7 days on/off with varied 10- and 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. degree required.
• Active, unrestricted Pharmacist License with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP).
• Current Sterile Compounding Certification.
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in sterile pharmacy practice.
• Expert knowledge of USP <797> sterile compounding standards and applicable cGMP regulations.

Responsibilities

• Compound sterile medications accurately following USP <797>.
• Verify prescriptions and ensure timely distributions.
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians to manage sterile workflow and records.
• Oversee inventory related to sterile products and replenish supplies.
• Engage in research to improve compounding techniques or develop new formulations.
