Job summary

Dover Precision Components is seeking a Valve and Packing Inspector for onsite roles in Odessa and Midland, Texas. This position requires reading drawings, performing precision measurements, and ensuring parts meet exact tolerances for shipment.

You will use gauging devices and precision instruments, document inspection results, and collaborate with the lead inspector to resolve nonconforming issues. Training others may be required.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications.
• Set up and calibrate precision measuring equipment and measure precision parts and assemblies to tolerances of +/- .0002".
• Record data and complete inspection reports.
• Able & willing to provide training to fellow inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications.
• Perform cleaning, fitting, filing, tapping, reaming, blending, polishing and aligning to ensure free action and proper operation of movable parts.
• Set-up and calibrate precision measuring equipment and measure precision parts and assemblies to tolerances of +/- .0002".
• Record data and complete inspection reports.
• Able & willing to provide training to fellow inspectors.
