Responsibilities

Performs highly routine work on standardized parts using one or more manual machines.
Sets up machines to obtain close tolerances and aligns machined parts.
Inspects first pieces and progress pieces with measuring devices per procedure.
Maintains records of time, part counts, inspections, and requisitions for each job.
Creates jigs, fixtures, or other non-production devices as assigned.
Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area and follows quality standards.
Provides basic guidance to other machinists as requested.
