Job summary

MC Communications LLC is seeking a Field Inspector for a full-time, on-site role in Shreveport, LA. You will inspect utility construction projects to ensure adherence to design specs, safety standards, and regulatory requirements, visiting job sites, documenting progress, and verifying materials and workmanship.

You will collaborate with project managers, field crews, and subcontractors to resolve discrepancies, support quality control, and maintain records.

Qualifications

Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and utility drawings.
Experience with on-site inspections, documentation, and reporting.
Knowledge of utility construction practices, safety regulations, and standards.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills for work with field crews and clients.
Basic proficiency with computers and mobile devices for inspection apps and email.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

Visit job sites to inspect progress and verify compliance with design specs and safety rules.
Document construction activities with notes, photos, and measurements.
Identify deviations, resolve discrepancies, and support quality control efforts.
Maintain accurate records and reports and ensure client and company procedures are followed.
