Job summary

UtiliQuest, LLC is seeking a Field Supervisor in Monroe, LA to oversee Damage Prevention Technicians, plan daily work, and ensure safety and quality standards. You will build a skilled team, coordinate with clients and regulators, and drive performance through regular coaching and audits.

The role requires at least one year in utility locating, strong safety knowledge, and excellent communication. Overnight travel may be needed; a comprehensive benefits program supports your team and family.

Qualifications

• One year or more of proven experience in utility locating or a similar field, with proven high quality results.
• Strong knowledge of utility mapping, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and supervise a team of Damage Prevention Technicians who are driven and understand KPIs and the business.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture for all employees.
• Conduct daily and weekly planning meetings to ensure quality control is in place.
• Conduct audits on field personnel to ensure quality standards are being met.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide regular feedback and development opportunities for technicians
• Create and maintain good working relationships with clients, excavators, regulators, employees, and the public.
• Assist Center Manager in identifying strengths and weaknesses of Damage Prevention Technicians.
• Assist Technicians with locating difficult to find utilities.
• Collaborate with HR and Talent Acquisition to identify staffing needs and hiring decisions.
• Operate company vehicles safely and maintain professional appearance.
• Validate and approve daily personnel time reports.
• Develop, mentor and evaluate technicians and manage engagement and morale.
• Complete JSOs of technicians and perform required duties.
