Job summary

ECM Consultants is seeking a full-time Certified Construction Inspector in Shreveport, LA to perform daily inspections for compliance with plans and specs and document observations. The role focuses on public safety and quality assurance, requiring strong documentation and field oversight.

The position involves on-site inspections, reporting, route planning, and coordinating with contractors while upholding safety standards. Weekly hours are typical weekdays with potential overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 7–10 years of construction/inspection experience or equivalent education.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
• Current OSHA safety training and relevant LADOTD certifications.
• Current Structural Concrete Certification, PCC Paving is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect work for compliance with plans and codes on site.
• Document observations daily and maintain records and reports.
• Submit daily reports to supervisor and keep as-built records.
• Plan daily routes and manage on-site time efficiently.
• Communicate with the public and stakeholders professionally.
• Maintain vehicles/equipment and adhere to safety procedures.
• Occasional weekend work may be required.
