Job summary

Onward Education in Plymouth County, MA is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a short-term assignment from September 2026 through December 2026. The onsite role focuses on upper elementary students (4th and 5th grade) with push-in and pull-out services to support IEP goals.

Collaborate with general education staff, monitor progress, and maintain documentation in compliance with district and state regulations; schedule Monday through Friday, 8:20 AM to 2:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• DESE Moderate Disabilities license (PreK–8 or 5–12) or eligibility.
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, accommodations, modifiers, and MA regulations.
• Experience with push-in/pull-out services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction to students in push-in and pull-out settings.
• Implement and monitor IEP goals, accommodations, modifications, and instructional strategies.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support access to grade-level curriculum.
• Monitor student progress and use data to inform instruction and interventions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements.
• Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment and partner with families.
