UFP Site Built in the United States is seeking a Truss Designer to design roof and floor trusses for single- and multi-family and commercial projects. The role uses Mitek software to create metal plate-connected wood trusses and wall panels, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 2–5 years of truss design experience, and knowledge of floor and roof systems to specify beams and hangers.

The Truss Designer is responsible for the accurate design of roof and floor trusses for single-family, multi-family, and commercial projects.
Design metal plate-connected wood trusses and Wall Panels utilizing Mitek software
Optimize designs for maximum efficiency
Review orders, layouts, and data files for accuracy
Assist sales and production with design service and troubleshooting
Performs other duties as required
Minimum high school graduate
Preferred bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent
Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in roof/floor truss design required
Working knowledge and experience using Mitek software are preferred
Working knowledge of floor and rood systems and the ability to spec out beams and hangars
$45,000 - 65,000 annually
A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
