Job summary

UFP Site Built is seeking a Truss Designer to accurately design roof and floor trusses for single-family, multi-family, and commercial projects. You will design metal plate-connected wood trusses and Wall Panels using Mitek software, ensuring precise layouts and efficient structures.

Qualifications include at least a high school diploma, 2–5 years of truss design experience, and familiarity with Mitek; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduate.
• Preferred bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in roof/floor truss design.
• Working knowledge and experience using Mitek software is preferred.
• Working knowledge of floor and roof systems and the ability to spec out beams and hangars.

Responsibilities

• Design metal plate-connected wood trusses and Wall Panels using Mitek software.
• Optimize designs for maximum efficiency.
• Review orders, layouts and data files for accuracy.
• Assist sales and production with design service and troubleshooting.

The Truss Designer is responsible for the accurate design of roof and floor trusses for single-family, multi-family, and commercial projects.

• Optimize designs for maximum efficiency

• Review orders, layouts, and data files for accuracy
