UFP Site Built, part of UFP Industries, Inc., designs and manufactures wood and non-wood components for the construction industry. The Truss Designer will accurately design roof and floor trusses for single-family, multi-family, and commercial projects.
Responsibilities include designing metal plate-connected wood trusses and wall panels using Mitek software, optimizing designs for efficiency, and assisting sales and production with design services.

The Truss Designer is responsible for the accurate design of roof and floor trusses for single-family, multi-family, and commercial projects.
Design metal plate-connected wood trusses and Wall Panels utilizing Mitek software
Optimize designs for maximum efficiency
Review orders, layouts, and data files for accuracy
Assist sales and production with design service and troubleshooting
Performs other duties as required
Minimum high school graduate
Preferred bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent
Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in roof/floor truss design required
Working knowledge and experience using Mitek software are preferred
Working knowledge of floor and rood systems and the ability to spec out beams and hangars
$45,000 - 65,000 annually
A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
