Job summary

UFP Site Built is seeking a Truss Designer to accurately design roof and floor trusses for single-family, multi-family, and commercial projects. The role involves using Mitek software to design metal plate-connected wood trusses and wall panels, reviewing orders, and assisting sales and production with design services.

Locations include Burlington, NC and other sites; a discretionary annual bonus may be provided along with comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, 401(k) matching, and paid

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduate.
• Preferred bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in roof/floor truss design required.
• Working knowledge and experience using Mitek software are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design metal plate-connected wood trusses and Wall Panels utilizing Mitek software.
• Optimize designs for maximum efficiency.

The Truss Designer is responsible for the accurate design of roof and floor trusses for single-family, multi-family, and commercial projects.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Design metal plate-connected wood trusses and Wall Panels utilizing Mitek software

• Optimize designs for maximum efficiency

• Review orders, layouts, and data files for accuracy

• Assist sales and production with design service and troubleshooting

• Performs other duties as required

Qualifications
