Job summary

RTX is seeking a Transition Quality Engineer P4 to lead quality activities across Global Transitions, from contract review through First Article Inspection and production readiness. You will collaborate with suppliers to ensure high-quality parts meet AS13100, PPAP, APQP requirements and drive robust RCCA when issues arise.

The role requires deep PW quality systems knowledge, strong project management, and the ability to travel up to 40% to domestic and international sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent with 8+ years in quality or related field.
• Advanced degree plus 5+ years is acceptable.
• Deep understanding of PW quality systems, ESA, MCL and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality activities across Global Transitions from contract review to FAI.
• Mitigate quality risk using AS9145 tools (PFMEA, PFD, PCP, MSA, KPC).
• Drive RCCA with suppliers to prevent hardware nonconformances.
• Support transition project managers to meet timelines and Gate C readiness.
• Interact with cross-functional teams and travel up to 40%.
