Job summary

Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division in El Paso, TX is seeking a Training Supervisor to own and improve the hourly production training system on the shop floor. You will ensure onboarding, OJT, cross-training, certification, and refresher training are consistent and competency-based.

You will partner with Operations and Quality to close training gaps, implement verification, and drive measurable improvements in quality, safety, and productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years leading manufacturing training/OJT, production readiness, or closely related operations/quality leadership training.
• Demonstrated experience building training that improves measurable outcomes (quality, safety, productivity, time-to-competency, etc.).
• No relocation benefit; candidates within 50 miles of El Paso TX will be considered.
• Active-Duty Military Service candidates are exempt from geographic limitation.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end hourly production training, including onboarding, OJT, cross-training, certification, and refresher training.
• Establish clear training expectations for each core production role, including defined training paths, timelines, and competency requirements.
• Ensure training is consistent across shifts, value streams, and trainers.
• Implement and enforce competency verification and quality alignment; delay or stop certification when standards are not met.
• Use quality, scrap, rework, audit, and defect data to identify training gaps and drive corrective actions.
• Partner with Quality and Operations to ensure training reflects current work instructions and critical quality requirements.
• Establish and maintain a train the trainer process with coaching and feedback.
• Regularly observe trainers and training delivery for consistency and effectiveness.
• Hold trainers and coordinators accountable for training quality.
• Ensure training documentation and records are accurate and audit-ready (including LMS and skill matrices).
• Develop and track training metrics (time to competency, certification accuracy, retraining needs, audit findings).
• Escalate systemic issues and provide clear leadership recommendations.
• Evaluate and pilot modern training methods (simulation, video, eLearning) where they improve speed, consistency, and quality.
• Provide day-to-day leadership to hourly training coordinators.
• Assess resources and plan future structure, roles, and capabilities as the plant grows.
• Build relationships with schools/community partners to strengthen the hiring/training pipeline.
