Job summary

West is seeking a Tooling Engineer to support the facility, commercial team, and mold tooling vendors on new mold development and legacy improvements. The role emphasizes teamwork and global collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

The position may involve set-up, operation, and monitoring of CNC and/or manual Milling machines for molds, dies, and related equipment. This onsite role offers relocation assistance and opportunities to collaborate with internal and external mold designers, tool

Qualifications

• Experience with tooling, CNC and manual milling in a tooling environment.
• Knowledge of mold design, tolerances and materials.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support existing tooling.
• Participate in new product development design reviews to avoid mold design/functional problems.
• Coordinate tooling orders needed for the facility.
• Work with mold designers and tool shops to ensure compliance to standards.
• Collaborate with the global tooling team to bring in new tools as needed.
• Evaluate and select new mold and manifold suppliers as requested.
• Review new mold designs to ensure tolerances and materials are specified correctly.
• Participate in new mold acceptance runs to ensure proper mold action.
• Support Process Engineers and technicians during initial mold sampling.
