Job summary

Universal Orlando Resort is seeking a Project Superintendent to lead daily on-site management, coordinating contractors, sub-contractors, architects and engineers, and park operations to meet cost, safety, quality and schedule targets.

The role requires ensuring work aligns with drawings and specifications using sound construction practices, while following Universal's environmental, health and safety procedures and maintaining accurate facilities records.

Qualifications

• AA in Construction, Engineering, or Architecture or equivalent education/experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a project superintendent, preferably in theme parks.
• Familiar with environmental, health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall smooth operation of the job site, ensuring cleanliness, order, coordination, efficiency and productivity.
• Resolve conflicts in structural/architectural/mechanical/electrical drawings by coordinating with Consultants and subs.
• Enforce quality control and monitor contractor/subcontractor schedules to meet codes, specs and design documents.
• Coordinate inspections with consultants and authorities as required.
• Lead and schedule safety meetings on the job site.
• Maintain daily/weekly/monthly records of contractors, consultants and owner activities and milestones.
• Provide interpretation of plans and specs for contractors and subcontractors.
• Report on-site labor quantities by trade and monitor material usage to ensure project completion.
• Actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities per Universal Orlando policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
