Job summary

HireArt, Inc. is assisting a client in San Francisco, CA to hire a Test EE Technician for hands-on electrical and firmware testing in a development lab.

The role supports testing, validation, and troubleshooting of hardware systems throughout the lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of hands-on electrical/firmware testing experience, precise documentation, and the ability to follow technical procedures accurately while noting test results and failures clearly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years hands-on experience in electrical, firmware, or electronics testing laboratories.
• Experience with firmware flashing, functional testing, and regression testing.
• Proficiency using electrical testing equipment including multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Ability to follow established technical test procedures and document findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Execute established electrical and firmware test procedures (power, continuity, signal, and thermal testing).
• Flash firmware and perform functional and regression testing to verify hardware and system performance.
• Troubleshoot faults using multimeters, oscilloscopes, loads, data loggers, and firmware flashing tools.
• Document test results, failures, and troubleshoot findings with clear reports and measurements.
• Review procedures and provide feedback to improve testing documentation.
