Job summary

Odyssey Logistics is seeking a Terminal Operations Manager for its Soldotna, AK terminal. Lead daily operations, drive safety, and develop a high-performing team while growing local business and maintaining exceptional customer service.

You will own terminal performance, manage costs, and work closely with cross-functional leaders to improve processes and support ongoing regional growth. Onsite role with standard business hours.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of logistics leadership experience or equivalent in terminal/distribution environments.
• Experience leading teams and staffing, performance management, and employee engagement.
• Strong knowledge of terminal operations, labor planning and service execution.
• Proven ability to manage costs, KPIs, and reporting for continuous improvement.
• Customer-facing communication skills and ability to build professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily terminal activity including receiving, loading/unloading, staging, dispatch, yard activity, fleet coordination and service execution.
• Lead, coach and develop employees with onboarding, training and performance management.
• Promote a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, HAZMAT and company policies.
• Monitor labor, overtime, vendor spend, productivity and expenses to improve service and cost control.
• Build customer relationships, support local visits, identify new business opportunities.
• Develop and improve SOPs and operating practices across dock, office and dispatch functions.
• Collaborate with Safety, Sales, Pricing, Customer Service, Claims, HR and Finance to strengthen service execution.
