Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer in Wilson, NC to develop and maintain documentation for manufacturing processes, work instructions and maintenance guidance. You will collaborate with assembly operators, shop floor leads, engineers and QA to ensure accuracy and compliance.

The role emphasizes cross-functional communication, adherence to change controls, and continuous improvement of documentation practices in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Aerospace/defense industry experience is a plus.
• Lean Six Sigma knowledge is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain technical process documentation for production.
• Support adherence to Change Control Board processes.
• Collaborate with SMEs to validate technical accuracy and completeness.
• Participate in continuous improvement to standardize documentation.
• Maintain consistency in format, terminology and structure.
• Provide technical support to engineers on various tasks.
