Atlas Copco Tools & Assembly Systems LLC in Rockford, IL is seeking a hands-on Technical Site Lead to be the primary technical resource and onsite Atlas Copco representative for Woodward Inc.'s fastening and assembly systems. Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands‑on experience in industrial equipment, tools, or production systems.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance and calibrations.
• Comfort working with technical systems, configurations, and diagnostics.
• Familiarity with data systems and production databases.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, communication, programming, and process-related issues.
• Lead root cause investigations for production downtime, quality concerns, recurring failures, and process deviations.
• Provide rapid technical support to minimize production interruptions and improve equipment reliability.
• Develop and implement corrective actions that improve system performance and reduce downtime.
• Review, validate, optimize, and troubleshoot tightening programs and production settings.
• Support new equipment installations, software upgrades, process improvements, and manufacturing changes.
• Collaborate with customer engineering, controls, quality, and maintenance teams to improve manufacturing performance.
• Generate technical reports and recommendations based on production and quality data.
• Perform preventative maintenance, calibrations, inspections, and system validations to ensure compliance with customer quality standards.
• Maintain technical documentation, calibration records, and compliance documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve tooling reliability, manufacturing efficiency, and first‑time quality.
• Develop technical documentation, work instructions, and troubleshooting guides.
• Provide technical coaching and knowledge sharing to customer personnel and Atlas Copco resources.
• Serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex customer issues.
