Atlas Copco Tools & Assembly Systems LLC is seeking a hands-on Technical Site Lead to serve as the primary on-site technical resource for Woodward Inc. in Rockford, IL.

You will deliver expert troubleshooting, maintenance, calibration support, and continuous improvement, while collaborating with mill operations, engineering, and quality teams. The role emphasizes technical leadership with no direct people management, requiring strong customer-facing communication and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in industrial equipment, tools, or production systems.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance and calibrations.
• Comfort working with technical systems, configurations, and diagnostics.
• Familiarity with data systems and production databases.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, communication, programming, and process-related issues.
• Lead root cause investigations for downtime, quality concerns, and process deviations.
• Provide rapid technical support to minimize interruptions and improve reliability.
• Develop corrective actions to improve system performance and reduce downtime.
• Review and optimize tightening programs and production settings.
