Job summary

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, is seeking a Systems Engineer II for the APNT Solutions team in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will help architect, design, and develop real-time embedded navigation and timing systems for military applications, validating requirements and coordinating across engineering teams.

You will work on verification, test development, and issue resolution while collaborating with subject matter experts to advance Assured Positioning, Navigation and Timing solutions for warfighters.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
• Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Verify and trace system requirements and ensure test procedures are aligned with design.
• Develop verification test procedures and execute them in a secure lab.
• Conduct peer reviews on test procedures and design documentation.
• Collaborate across teams to meet program goals and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Own the development of design approaches through collaboration with subject matter experts.
• Drive issue resolution through problem solving and coordination across teams.
