Job summary

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for the APNT Solutions team onsite in Cedar Rapids. You will work on real-time embedded navigation and timing systems for military applications and contribute to the architecture and development of dependable PNT solutions.

You will verify requirements, develop and execute test procedures, perform peer reviews, and collaborate across multiple teams to meet program goals. A DoD security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Collins Aerospace is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer with a passion for engineering and the desire to lead to join the Assured Positioning, Navigation and Timing (APNT) team. The team is responsible for architecting, designing, and developing systems for real-time embedded navigation and timing solutions for military ground, airborne, and maritime applications.

This position offers abundant opportunity to acquire in-depth knowledge of Assured PNT systems architecture, and to apply that knowledge in a team effort to develop our navigation products for the warfighter.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
• Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements
