Job summary

RTX in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Systems Engineer for an onsite role supporting hardware and software integration, test planning, and verification across the product lifecycle. You will collaborate with multiple disciplines to ensure systems work together, with travel up to 20% for test events.

The role requires a STEM degree and hands-on experience with test equipment, MATLAB, and data analysis. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
• Experience with troubleshooting technical issues in an academic or internship setting, including the use of common commercial test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.)
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects

Responsibilities

• Support engineering activities related to testing and troubleshooting of hardware and software
• Functional analysis of real world and test data; trade studies to bring advanced features to fielded system
• Support troubleshooting and failure data analyses, including root cause and corrective action processes and advanced use of lab or field test equipment
• System integration and test support, possibly including live fire test events
• Support activity may require travel
• Complete and compile detailed performance evaluations, including the use of analysis tools, such as MATLAB
• Support qualification of our products
• Sustainment/Depot returns and repair
• Maintain engineering specifications (DS, ARD, etc.) & drawing (Schematics & Assembly Drawings)
• Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholders
• Maintain engineering databases
• Participate in periodic team meetings, interface teleconference meetings, working group meetings
