Job summary

MKS2 Technologies, LLC, on-site Systems Administrator role supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs in Martinez, CA, requires extensive system administration experience and ability to work with VA standard tools. The role involves hands-on IT support, imaging, asset management, and responding to customer issues with Service Now.

All duties focus on maintaining mission-critical networks at VA facilities, with day hours and potential after-hours as needed.

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED and 8+ years of experience with system administration or BS degree Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other engineering or technical discipline.
Experience in maintaining troubleshooting a wide variety of systems and networks to include high volume/high availability systems.
Knowledge of debugging protocols and processes
Ability to troubleshoot problems and issues identified by customers and implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities

Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, testing and troubleshooting tasks in support of IT customers.
Communicate directly with customers on site to diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues using Service Now.
Provision and image endpoints, perform desktop support and changes as needed.
Utilize log data and admin tools to diagnose problems and re-configure or replace components.
