Job summary

Carrier is seeking a senior supplier readiness and diagnostics expert to operate on-site with suppliers in the Charlotte area. You will execute RCA analyses, lead corrective actions, and drive readiness for NPI milestones and volume ramps.

This role emphasizes hands-on assessment, capability building, and cross-functional collaboration to sustain performance improvements across supplier networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Development, Supplier Quality, or Operations.
• 3+ years experience in production processes, capacity modeling, process flow, and operational diagnostics.
• Ability to travel up to 25-50% of the time.
• Masters degree preferred; Engineering or Supply Chain degree preferred; on-site supplier leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess supplier capacity, capability, readiness across staffing, equipment, tooling, process stability, layout, flow, and quality systems.
• Validate production capacity, bottlenecks, and allocation; drive corrective actions.
• Lead on-site readiness activities for capacity expansion, process optimization, and throughput improvements.
• Deploy Lean tools (5S, flow optimization, standard work, visual management) at supplier sites.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Materials, and Strategic Sourcing to align readiness with supplier performance goals.
