Job summary

MasTec Renewables, comprising Wanzek Construction, IEA Constructors, and White Construction, is seeking a Project Subcontracts Specialist. You will administer subcontract agreements for utility-scale solar or wind projects from mobilization through closeout, serving as the primary onsite commercial contact for subcontractors and ensuring contract compliance and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five+ years of experience administering construction subcontracts on large industrial, energy, infrastructure, renewable energy, or EPC projects.
• Three+ years of field-based or project-site contract/subcontract management experience.
• Experience with subcontract negotiations, change management, claims administration, and dispute resolution.
• Experience using Procore, Viewpoint Vista, Oracle, or similar construction management systems.

Responsibilities

• Administer subcontract agreements for utility-scale solar or wind construction projects from mobilization through project closeout.
• Serve as the primary onsite commercial representative for subcontractors assigned to the project.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with contractual obligations, scope requirements, schedule milestones, and commercial terms.
• Draft, review, and issue contractual notices related to performance deficiencies, delays, disruptions, safety violations, scope changes, and other contract matters.
• Collaborate with Project Management and Construction teams to identify, document, and evaluate subcontractor change events and claims.
• Manage subcontract change order processes including scope validation, pricing reviews, negotiation support, approvals, and execution.
