Job summary

Millerbernd Manufacturing in Winsted, MN is seeking a Structural Engineer for our Transportation & Infrastructure Business Unit. The role is onsite and focused on improving manufacturing processes, safety, quality and efficiency through practical structural designs.

You will collaborate with manufacturing teams, interpret plans, apply industry regulations, and refine pole designs while staying current with AASHTO and state DOT requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Two years of practical structural engineering experience preferred.
• Experience interpreting technical specifications, drawings, and plans.
• Knowledge of structural analysis, loads, and wind effects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate designs and calculations for quotations/submittals.
• Identify design problems and resolve them via analysis and collaboration.
• Optimize pole designs for manufacturing capabilities and specifications.
• Provide recommendations for manufacturing design improvements.
• Support drafting, sales, manufacturing, quality, and estimating with technical analysis.
• Stay up-to-date with AASHTO standards and state DOT requirements.
