Job summary

Energy Northwest seeks a Strategic Planning Program Manager to lead the agency’s strategic planning program, monitor performance, and coordinate with executive leadership and member utilities to align priorities and long-term direction.

The role requires onsite work in Richland, WA, with responsibility for developing strategic initiatives, communicating progress, and supporting board-level planning activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration or related field and seven years of experience in strategic planning, business planning, utility operations, organizational performance, public affairs, or related field.
  • OR Associate’s degree in Business Administration or a related field and nine years of experience in strategic planning, business planning, utility operations, organizational performance, public affairs, or related field.
  • OR High School diploma/GED and eleven years of experience in strategic planning, business planning, utility operations, organizational performance, public affairs, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development, administration, and continuous improvement of Energy Northwest’s Strategic Planning Program, strategic goals, measures, and planning priorities.
  • Coordinate strategic planning activities involving executive leadership, departments, member utilities, the Executive Board, and the Board of Directors.
  • Coordinate long-range strategic planning activities that support the agency's existing enterprise while positioning Energy Northwest for future strategic opportunities.
  • Develop and administer processes for gathering strategic planning input from member utilities and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor industry, policy, regulatory, market, and public power trends that may impact the agency's long-term strategy.
