Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a Staffing Coordinator for a 32-hour on-site role in the Longwood area of Boston, MA. The position covers three shifts per week (two 12-hour shifts and one 8-hour shift) with weekend coverage every other week. Hours are 9:00 a.m.

to 9:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Key responsibilities include staffing for inpatient units, payroll assistance for specific staff, and participation in bed meetings for admissions and transfers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access) and other web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrates daily staffing for inpatient units by filling vacancies with qualified applicants.
• Maintains accurate time-keeping and records actual time worked and time off.
• Tracks tardiness, overtime, leave, and accidents using payroll-compatible codes.
• Schedules RNs, patient care workers, unit assistants and observers to inpatient units to ensure quality patient care.
• Assists with weekly payroll for Patient Observers and Community Resource Staff.
• Attends daily bed meetings to assign admissions and transfers.
