Job summary

First Choice Primary Care, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to maintain accurate financial records and support the accounting department in a fast-paced setting in Macon, GA.

The role is full-time and on-site, with standard hours Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, and occasional travel to other locations as needed. You will process invoices, assist with payroll, and help prepare monthly financial reports while ensuring compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
• Two or more years of accounting experience preferred.
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles and financial practices.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to collect, organize, track, and report data.
• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Data entry & record keeping in the company accounting software.
• Process invoices, verify amounts, and ensure timely payment to vendors.
• Reconcile accounts payable ledgers for accuracy.
• Assist with cash handling, deposits, and bank tasks.
• Maintain petty cash records and reconcile cash.
• Compile financial data and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Assist in documents for audits and tax filings.
• Communicate with vendors and customers to resolve billing issues.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and operations.
• Assist with preparation and processing bi-weekly payroll.
