First Choice Primary Care, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant in Macon, GA, to support the accounting department with accurate transaction records, adherence to standards, and routine tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The role is full-time and on-site, with standard hours Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, and occasional travel to other locations as needed. Responsibilities include data entry, AP, payroll support, and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Two or more years of accounting experience preferred.
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles and financial practices.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to collect, organize, track, and report data.
• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

Responsabilités

• Data Entry & Record Keeping: enter and update financial transactions in the accounting software.
• Accounts Payable: process invoices, verify amounts, ensure timely payments, reconcile ledgers.
• Assist with cash handling, deposits, and bank-related tasks as required.
• Maintain petty cash records and reconcile cash at period end.
• Assist in Financial Reporting: prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports; support audits and tax filings.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve billing issues and payment discrepancies.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and operations.
• Payroll: assist with bi-weekly payroll processing and handle questions about deductions and withholdings.
