Job summary

DeWinter Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing, family-owned HVAC and air quality services team. The role centers on accounts payable and supporting some accounts receivable, with emphasis on accurate financial records, cash flow optimization, and vendor relations.

You will process invoices, reconcile statements, and assist in month-end and year-end closes, collaborating with purchasing, receiving, and finance teams. Onsite in Burlington, MA, with a flexible 8- to 9-hour day.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience with accounts payable workflows.
• Experience with ERP systems, specifically P21 - Epicor.
• Advanced Excel skills including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs.
• Knowledge of GAAP and inventory management.
• Excellent communication and vendor relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely approval.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare electronic payments and checks, monitoring payment schedules.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain organized records of invoices, payments, and correspondence.
• Collaborate closely with purchasing, receiving, and finance teams.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
• Support process improvements within accounts payable functions using ERP systems.
