Johnson Controls Federal Systems is seeking a Site Safety and Health Officer to support long-term contracts at White Sands Missile Range, NM, and Fort Bliss, TX. You will implement safety programs, train staff, and ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1 standards.

A company vehicle is provided. The role requires OSHA 30 within the past 5 years (or ability to obtain), 5+ years in construction safety, and the ability to obtain security clearances.

Qualifications

• 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety training within the past 5 years (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
• 5+ years of construction safety inspection/administration experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and safety documentation systems
• Ability to obtain/maintain government security clearances for supported sites

Responsabilités

• Implement Site/Task Specific Safety Program for the location and develop Site Specific APPs and AHAs
• Oversee procurement of safety supplies/equipment and coordinate safety training for JCFS staff and subs
• Serve as on-site competent person and SSHO per EM 385-1-1 standards
• Enforce JCFS Safety Program directives and site APPs and EM-385-1-1 requirements
• Conduct daily safety inspections, investigations, and OSHA 300 reporting
• Maintain safety/health deficiency tracking and ensure sub-contractor compliance
• Lead and facilitate local Office Safety Committee and safety engagements
• Develop relationships with government and subcontractor safety organizations
• Drive safety program initiatives and own safety execution at the project location
• Perform other related duties as required
