Job summary

King & George, LLC seeks a Site Safety & Health Officer (L1 SSHO) to manage site safety for Sheppard AFB operations in Texas. The role develops and administers the Accident Prevention Plan, conducts hazard analyses, and ensures OSHA/EM 385-1-1 compliance across KG and subcontractors.

Mandatory experience includes 5+ years in safety management, OSHA 30-hour, and annual safety training. CSP/ASP preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification.
• Minimum 5 years continuous safety management experience.
• Eight hours of documented safety training annually for the previous five years.
• Experience supervising safety programs within O&M, industrial, or construction environments.
• Knowledge of EM 385-1-1.
• Experience conducting hazard analyses and implementing controls.

Responsibilities

• Administer KG Safety Program
• Implement Accident Prevention Plan
• Coordinate Activity Hazard Analyses
• Monitor KG safety compliance
• Conduct workplace safety inspections
• Investigate accidents and near misses
• Lead monthly safety meetings
• Maintain safety documentation
• Coordinate safety training
• Monitor subcontractor compliance
• Support OSHA, EM 385-1-1, and MTF inspections
• Maintain EMR and DART records
• Ensure Alternate/secondary SSHO coverage
