Job summary

Ashby Ponds by Erickson Senior Living seeks a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents with communication, cognitive-linguistic, voice and swallowing disorders onsite in our continuing care community. Develop individualized plans, educate residents and families, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote residents' independence and quality of life.

Salary is $55.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Requires licensure as Speech-Language Pathologist in Virginia.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with geriatric populations preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, voice and swallowing evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on treatment strategies and communication techniques.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries per regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to support resident-centered care.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Participate in care planning and team meetings.
