Job summary

Ashby Ponds by Erickson Senior Living is seeking a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents onsite in a vibrant continuing care community in Ashburn, VA.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team, build lasting relationships with residents, and deliver evidence-based care focused on communication, cognition, voice and swallowing. No travel required and opportunities to grow within Erickson Senior Living network.

Qualifications

• Current Virginia Speech-Language Pathology license.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with geriatric populations is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, voice and swallowing evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on treatment strategies and communication techniques.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries per guidelines.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to support resident-centered care.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Participate in care planning and team meetings.
