Ashby Ponds by Erickson Senior Living in Ashburn, VA seeks a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate, diagnose and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive-linguistic, voice and swallowing disorders onsite. The role focuses on resident-centered care and builds meaningful relationships within a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

Work is onsite in our continuing care retirement community with no travel, offering flexible PRN opportunities and a chance to impact residents’

Qualifications

Current Speech-Language Pathology license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with geriatric populations is preferred but not required.
Passion for providing high-quality, resident-centered care.

Responsabilités

Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, voice and swallowing evaluations.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
Educate residents, families, and staff on treatment strategies and communication techniques.
Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory and organizational guidelines.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to support resident-centered care.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
Participate in care planning and team meetings.
