Ashby Ponds by Erickson Senior Living is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate, diagnose, and treat residents with communication, cognitive-linguistic, voice, and swallowing disorders onsite at our Ashby Ponds community in Ashburn, VA. This PRN opportunity allows you to focus on delivering exceptional care in a beautiful continuing care retirement community.

Qualifications

Current Speech-Language Pathology license in Virginia.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with geriatric populations is preferred but not required.
Passion for providing high-quality, resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, voice and swallowing evaluations.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
Educate residents, families, and staff on treatment strategies and communication techniques.
Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory and organizational guidelines.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to support resident-centered care.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
Participate in care planning and team meetings.
