Job summary

Ashby Ponds by Erickson Senior Living is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a PRN, on-site role in Ashburn, VA. The position focuses on evaluating and treating residents with communication, cognitive-linguistic, voice, and swallowing disorders within a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include comprehensive evaluations, treatment planning, and education of residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

Current Speech-Language Pathology license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with geriatric populations is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, voice and swallowing evaluations.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
Educate residents, families, and staff on treatment strategies and communication techniques.
Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory and organizational guidelines.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to support resident-centered care.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
Participate in care planning and team meetings.
