Job summary

Ashby Ponds by Erickson Senior Living is seeking a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents with communication, cognitive-linguistic, voice, and swallowing disorders onsite at our Loudoun County community in Virginia. The SLP will develop individualized treatment plans, deliver evidence-based therapies, and educate residents, families, and staff.

Experience with geriatric populations is preferred; Virginia SLP license is required; join a collaborative interdisciplinary

Qualifications

• Virginia Speech-Language Pathology license required.
• Experience with geriatric populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, voice and swallowing evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on treatment strategies and communication techniques.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory and organizational guidelines.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to support resident-centered care.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Participate in care planning and team meetings.
