Job summary

Space Ground System Solutions, Inc. (SGSS), a Parsons company, has an immediate full-time opening for a software test engineer onsite at our Blossom Point Tracking Facility in Welcome, MD.

The role involves system- and software-level testing using Neptune software in a dynamic, multi-discipline environment. You will analyze requirements, develop and run test cases, automate smoke and regression tests, maintain test plans, and support software releases.

Qualifications

• US citizen and eligible for DoD Secret clearance.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a test engineer.
• Experience designing, developing, and executing test cases.
• Experience with cloud computing concepts.
• Experience with Linux operating systems and the command line.
• Experience with test automation tools.
• Experience writing and executing test scripts (e.g., Python).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, documentation, and confer with internal stakeholders.
• Verification and tracking of new features.
• Create and execute automated test scripts for smoke and regression testing.
• Create, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test procedures.
• Troubleshoot software system issues with developers and testers.
• Collaborate across systems engineering, software, and Ops Support.
• Support new software releases and system deployments.
• Track patching and release versions.
• Provide On-Call support of operational systems.
• Prepare and review SDPs, SOPs, and CM reports.
• Work with system engineers and security teams on design/compliance/schedule.
