Space Ground System Solutions, a Parsons company, seeks a software test engineer to perform software and system level testing onsite at Blossom Point Tracking Facility in Welcome, MD. You will analyze requirements, develop and execute test plans, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely deployments.

The role requires 3+ years as a test engineer, strong troubleshooting and scripting in Python, experience with cloud concepts, Linux, and test automation tools.

Formación

• Must be a US citizen.
• Must meet eligibility requirements for DoD Secret clearance.
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience as a test engineer.
• Proven ability to identify and troubleshoot potential software defects.
• Proven ability to effectively communicate with developers to investigate and resolve test anomalies.
• Experience designing, developing, and executing test cases.
• Experience with cloud computing concepts.
• Experience with Linux based operating systems and the command line interface.
• Experience with test automation tools.
• Experience writing and executing test scripts (e.g., Python).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze requirements, documentation, and confer with internal stakeholders.
• Verification and tracking of new features.
• Create and execute automated test scripts to aid in smoke and regression testing.
• Create, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test procedures for feature and regression testing.
• Troubleshoot software system issues and work with other developers and testers to resolve test anomalies.
• Work as an effective team member across multiple disciplines (e.g. systems engineering, software development, Ops Support).
• Support the creation of new software releases and system deployments.
• Tracking software patching and release versions.
• Provide On-Call support of operational systems.
• Assist in preparing, providing direction, and reviewing relevant documentation to include Software Development Plans (SDPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and generating CM reports.
• Work closely with system engineers, government security team and leadership to ensure software design, compliance, and schedule adherence.
