Job summary

Encode, Inc, a fully owned subsidiary of LanceSoft, is seeking a Software Developer for a three-year contract in Lexington, MA. The role focuses on leading clean-sheet architecture and developing complex systems software, including REST services in Python and/or C++, with cross-platform Linux/Windows applications.

The position emphasizes self-motivation, strong communication, and collaboration with cyber security teams to meet security standards. On-site engagement is required.

Qualifications

• Leads architecture and development of complex systems from high-level requirements.
• Develops REST web services in Python and/or C++.
• Programs user applications on Linux and Windows.
• Familiar with basic image processing techniques.
• Self-motivated and capable with minimal direction.
• Strong communication skills and clear result reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develops application software.
• Writes and implements efficient code.
• Researches, designs, develops and implements software applications and systems.
• Involved in system development and deployment and ensures software compliance.
• Evaluates and designs interfaces between hardware/software, cloud, security, and system architecture.
• Researches, designs, implements and manages software programs.
• Identifies areas for modification in existing programs and develops changes.
• Determines operational practicality.
• Documents testing, client experience and maintenance of system corrections.
• Partners with cyber security teams to ensure security standards compliance.
• Develops and conducts unit tests.
