Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. is seeking an HR Generalist to serve as a key HR partner onsite at the Mt. Vernon, IN facility. You will provide daily support to employees and leaders, manage full-cycle hiring, and ensure policy and regulatory compliance across shifts.

The role requires strong customer service, policy interpretation, investigations, and collaboration with front-line leaders to improve morale and retention. DOE clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of one year HR experience that includes staffing, benefits, compensation, employee relations, and employment law compliance.
• Ability to work fully onsite at BWXT’s Mt. Vernon, IN office location.
• U.S. citizen and able to obtain/maintain a DOE security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily HR support on the shop floor by engaging with employees and addressing concerns.
• Partner with leadership and Talent Acquisition to deliver full-cycle support for hiring needs.
• Advise employees and managers on interpreting policies, guidelines, procedures, laws, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct employee relations investigations prioritizing factual accuracy and timely resolution.
• Assist with employee events including benefits enrollment and trainings.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and ensure postings are current.
