Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Safety, Health & Environmental Manager for an on-site position in Westchester County, NY. The role oversees EHS plans, supervises CM EHS staff, and collaborates with the client’s operations team to manage SH&E aspects of construction activities.

The position requires a BA/BS with 10 years of experience (or equivalent) and a US driver’s license; CSP or CIH is preferred, along with a degree in Safety or Engineering.

Qualifications

• BA/BS plus 10 years of relevant experience or equivalent education
• US valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Ensure implementation of EHS Plans (EHSMP/EHASP)
• Supervise onsite EHS staff
• Coordinate with client Operations to manage SH&E
• Assist in preparation of JHAs per client standards
• Conduct CM staff EHS training (new hires, visitors, Emergency Action Plans)
• Review EHS submittals (EHASPs, JHAs, reports, waste/contingency plans)
• Lead weekly EHS meetings with Contractor’s EHS Representative
• Monitor Contractor EHS compliance and issue resolution
• Submit daily site reports and track non-compliance with EHASPs/JHAs
• Oversee EHS monthly reports and trend analysis
• Manage Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) and drills with Client staff
• Review and manage EPCRA and Hazardous Waste reporting

Education

BA/BS + 10 years experience
