Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Safety, Health & Environmental Manager for an on-site role in Westchester County, NY. You will lead EHS implementation, supervise staff, and collaborate with the client’s operations team to ensure SH&E compliance across construction activities.

Responsibilities include preparing JHAs, conducting CM trainings, reviewing submittals, and leading EHS meetings. This is a full-time, on-site position with strong emphasis on regulatory and site safety excellence.

Qualifications

• BA/BS +10 years of relevant experience or equivalency.
• US Driver's License.
• CSP or CIH preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Safety or Engineering preferred.
• 5 years construction industry experience.
• ASP certification.
• 2+ years of personnel management experience.
• Experience with NYCDEP preferred.
• Experience in tunneling/underground construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement CM EHSMP and EHASP.
• Supervise onsite CM EHS staff.
• Collaborate with client Operations to manage SH&E on construction activities.
• Assist CM with Job Hazard Analyses per client standards.
• Conduct CM staff EHS trainings (new hire, visitor, emergency actions).
• Review EHS submittals (EHASPs, JHAs, reports, waste, SWPPP, etc.).
• Lead weekly EHS meetings with Contractor's EHSR and project team.
• Monitor contractor EHS performance and non-compliance.
• Submit daily site EHS reports and document issues.
• Review incident reports and coordinate corrective actions.
• Oversee EHS monthly reports and trend analyses.
• Oversee Emergency Action Plans and drills.
• Review and manage EHS Annual Reports.
