Job summary

Aecon is hiring an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to provide health and safety guidance to project line Supervisors and audit EHS Programs. You will work with the team to develop corrective actions and drive continuous safety improvements on construction sites.

Responsibilities include developing site safety training, reviewing project plans, liaising with regulators and subcontractors, and mentoring staff in safety procedures. This role requires a U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience coordinating and managing health and safety for construction projects.
• Leadership experience required.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and related legislation.

Responsibilities

• Develop site-specific safety training and orientation.
• Review project plans and sites to identify safety risks.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies, inspectors, subcontractors and clients.
• Continuously improve Health and Safety Programs with management.
• Represent Aecon in meetings on workplace health and safety matters.
• Lead inspections, audits, and safety coaching across projects.
• Mentor staff on safety roles and compliance with standards.
