Job summary

Aecon U.S. is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager to lead health and safety programs on major construction projects. You will audit EHS plans, advise project leaders, and drive continuous safety improvements across sites.

Required are 5+ years coordinating safety in construction, strong leadership, and familiarity with OSHA regulations. You will train staff, investigate incidents, manage records, and coordinate with regulators and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience coordinating and managing health and safety for construction projects.
• Leadership experience required in a unionized or non-unionized environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop site-specific safety training and orientation for workers, supervisors, staff, subcontractors, and clients.
• Review project plans and sites for safety risks before work begins and identify controls.
• Mentor project staff in conventional safety procedures and track safety statistics.
• Manage Return to Work and Modified Duties processes at field level.
• Lead safety meetings, audits, investigations, and communications with stakeholders.
